Telehealth

All of your counseling sessions can be completed in the comfort of your own home or wherever you may find yourself! As long as you are in the great state of Texas, we can work together. We find that Telehealth saves time and decreases anxiety associated with counseling. Plus, it helps to have other choices if you don’t “mesh” with anyone in your local area.

The HIPAA-compliant software our practice uses is safe and secure. A link will be sent to you prior to your appointment, and all you have to do is click the link to join!

Is your home not the ideal place to have a counseling session? Not to worry! We’ve had sessions with clients who were safely parked in their driveways or parking lots, and we’ve also had sessions with teenagers while they were on their lunch break at school. Let’s be creative and find a spot that is comfortable for you!

What to Expect

Initial contact

Every client starts with a free, 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit for your needs. During the casual consultation, we will discuss your counseling needs, new client paperwork, portal access, and answer any questions you may have. If you decide we aren’t a good match, we will be happy to provide referrals for you.

Second appointment

Most likely, we will use this session to discuss your goals and how to achieve them. You are in control here! Your counselor can make suggestions and provide feedback, but ultimately you will decide what you want your goals to be.

First appointment

Your first session is the get-to-know-you session. Your counselor will review your paperwork, explore your history, and dig a little deeper into your presenting concerns and challenges.

Third+ appointment

We will spend the remaining sessions working on your goals. For counseling to be effective, you must be an active participant inside and outside of your counseling sessions. You and your counselor can always re-evaluate and change goals or plans based on your needs. New goals can be added too!

Termination/graduation

Termination sounds like a scary word, but all it really means is that you have achieved your goals and graduated! You always have the option of coming back to counseling when new challenges appear in your life.
